Introduction
I had the opportunity to work on the WordPress website for South Texas Water Development, a private utility focused on seawater desalination. The goal was to create a simple, professional site that effectively communicates their mission: “Rain or Shine, Water All the Time.” My role was to ensure the design, structure, and functionality aligned with the client’s vision, providing a seamless user experience and a platform that reflects their commitment to reliable water solutions.
Strategy
The goal was to create a simple yet professional WordPress website that communicates the company’s expertise in seawater desalination and its commitment to reliable water supply, reflected in their slogan: “Rain or Shine, Water All the Time.” The strategy focused on delivering essential information with clarity, ensuring potential customers quickly understand the company’s mission and services.
Design
We adopted a clean and minimal design with a focus on easy navigation and crisp visuals, highlighting the themes of water, sustainability, and reliability. The color palette was kept subtle with blues and whites to align with the company’s focus on water desalination. A straightforward layout was chosen to ensure all key information is accessible within a few clicks, creating a professional, no-frills website tailored to the client’s industry.
User Experience
The user experience centered on simplicity, with fast-loading pages and intuitive navigation. Key service information was made prominent on the homepage, ensuring users could quickly find relevant content. The mobile-friendly design ensures a seamless experience across all devices, catering to users on the go. Forms were integrated to facilitate quick inquiries, encouraging potential customers to connect with the company effortlessly.
