Introduction
I had the pleasure of working on the redesign of a WordPress eCommerce website, with the goal of transforming it into a modern, clean, and high-performing platform. The client wanted a fast-loading site optimized for Swedish keywords, along with personal adjustments to elements like the navbar and icons to align with their vision. My role was to ensure that every detail met these expectations while delivering a seamless, SEO-friendly, and user-focused shopping experience.
Strategy
The objective of this project was to redesign an outdated eCommerce website, transforming it into a modern, high-performing platform tailored to the client’s needs. The focus was on creating a sleek, fast-loading site optimized for SEO, using relevant Swedish keywords to attract local customers. We also ensured that the website aligned perfectly with the client’s vision by making personalized adjustments to the navigation bar, icons, and other visual elements, reinforcing brand identity.
Design
The design approach was centered on modern minimalism, with clean layouts, intuitive product pages, and visually appealing elements that enhance usability. We refreshed the color palette and typography to reflect a contemporary feel while ensuring consistency throughout the site. Attention was given to the placement of key elements such as call-to-action buttons and product showcases to improve conversion rates. Every design choice was made to balance aesthetics with functionality, creating a visually pleasing and efficient shopping experience.
User Experience (UX)
To enhance UX, the site was built to load quickly and adapt seamlessly to all devices, ensuring a smooth experience across desktops, tablets, and smartphones. The revamped navigation bar and personalized icons simplified browsing, helping users find products with ease. The checkout process was streamlined to reduce friction, improving conversion rates. SEO optimization was applied strategically across pages and product descriptions to ensure visibility in local search results, enhancing discoverability among Swedish customers.
